Meet the Staff 2016!

Camp Talooli has one of the greatest summer staffs around. With nearly 80% of our staff returning each year, our staff members are incredibly skilled, innovative, and enthusiastic about sharing their love of summer camp with Talooli campers. This is a way for us to share just how special each of our counselors, program staff, and leaders are.

Name:

Morgan Nichols

Position at Camp this summer:

Nature Director

How many years have you been coming to Camp Talooli?

12 years! Morgan was a Talooli camper, CIT, and counselor before she became our Nature Director.

What is your favorite spot at Camp Talooli?

My favorite spot in Camp is Greenwood - a clearing on the hill next to Van Dyke Lodge. There you are surrounded by tall pine trees and have the perfect spot for a campfire. It is my favorite spot to make Nature tea and roast s'mores.

What type of career are you planning to pursue?

I've always wanted to work with animals, so I am currently studying Environmental Biology. I would like to pursue a career in environmental and wildlife conservation.

If you could visit another country, where would you choose to go?

It is a goal of mine to visit Australia. There are so many different types of animals and foods that it would be a whole new experience!

What is your favorite part about working on staff at Camp Talooli?

I've learned a few things at camp about myself that I probably wouldn't have acquired anywhere else. I've learned how to be a leader, how to be a good public speaker, how to work with kids and fellow peers, and most importantly to climb out of my comfort zone and express myself!
