About Us

Camp Talooli

Camp Talooli was founded in 1945 and it has been serving the youth, children, and families of CNY ever since.

Camp Talooli is accredited by the American Camp Association.  This means that we voluntarily invite an outside team of ACA trained visitors every 5 years to verify our compliance with more than 300 nationally recognized industry standards – from staff qualifications and training to emergency management and site and facilities management.

As a leading authority in youth development, ACA works to preserve, promote, and improve the camp experience. The association is committed to helping its members and all camps provide:

  • Camp communities committed to a safe, nurturing environment
  • Caring, competent adult role models
  • Healthy, developmentally appropriate experiences
  • Service to the community and the natural world
  • Opportunities for leadership and personal growth
  • Discovery, experiential education, and learning opportunities
  • Excellence and continuous self-improvement

In addition to the summer camp programs, Camp Talooli also offers the following programs annually:

SUMMER CAMP

Camp Talooli offers day and overnight sessions in the summer time where campers can experience the outdoors and participate in typical camp activities. Monday through Friday, day campers arrive by bus and car to enjoy a specialized camp program from 8:45 a.m. until 3:45 p.m.  Overnight campers arrive Sunday evening and stay through Friday afternoon. In the summer, campers enjoy activities such as swimming, boating, archery, nature education, team building on our low ropes course, arts & crafts, and much more.

SCHOOL BREAK CAMP

Camp Talooli also runs day camp sessions during the winter and spring school breaks. Campers arrive by bus and car for Monday-Friday programming. During these weeks, campers choose from activities like art projects, playing games with other children, baking in the camp’s kitchen, hikes, and science experiments. In the winter, campers can also play in the snow, sled on one of our many hills, build snow men and snow forts, and explore our 10+ inch thick lake ice. At Spring Camp, campers explore our property as it starts to wake up from the long winter and participate in activities such as boating, fishing, archery, nature education and more.

FAMILY CAMP

Camp Talooli also provides opportunities multiple times a year for families to spend time together outdoors, appreciating nature and taking part in a range of camp activities like boating, campfire cooking, fishing, arts and crafts, and much more. Family members work together to help prepare meals, take care of camp, and interact with other families. These opportunities are offered in the spring, summer and fall.
