Educational Programs

Camp Talooli has been a not-for-profit educational institution for over 70 years and our year-round programs are founded on our belief (and experience) that any educational goal or program can be enhanced when it takes place outdoors, in nature and engages people in authentic problem solving and team building.

We work with school and community groups that range from pre-K to adult. Group sizes can be small or include over 200. We meet with teachers and administrators ahead of time to design custom educational opportunities that fall into 6 categories:

Talooli Day Trips

Way more than just another field trip.  Create a day-long itenterary of educational and camp experiences that are only a short drive away.

Talooli Overnight / Retreat Trips

Build memories that last a lifetime. Spend the day working, playing and growing together and then eat a great meal in our dining hall, build a campfire, go for a night-hike and spend the night in our cabins. Then wake-up to the sounds of nature and the smell of pancakes.

We Can Come To You

Our educators can come to your classroom or meeting to lead educational programs for all ages of students and adult groups. We can also visit your classroom for a pre- or post-field experience session.

Professional Development

Our educators can come to your school to offer PD workshops on experiential education, project based learning, outdoor education, team building, etc. We can also create a team-building experience for your faculty at your school or out at Camp Talooli.  Imagine how you could build moral and team spirit by hosting your next conference day at Camp. 

We Can Help Lead Your Adventure

We will work with you to develop and lead outdoor educational road trips. Our educators have led thousands of students on nearly 200 school trips including day trips to study streams, visit colleges, collect fossils, etc. We have also led overnight trips to collect scientific data and explore the state andwe offer week-long expeditions to study Caribbean coral reefs and the canyons of America’s Southwest. We understand and can help you with the logistics and planning for trips.

Educational Program Topics

Most groups that come to Camp want to combine content specific educational goals with opportunities for team building and outdoor fun. Typical schedules often include large group activities, breaking large groups into small teams that rotate through activities and a meal. Many of the activities can also be adapted and brought into your classroom.
